Monthly series features farm-to-table dining, live music under the stars

On the heels of last year’s sold-out debut, the College Farm’s will once again bring music fans together for live performances, farm-to-table dining and relaxed evenings under the stars.

The series kicks off Friday, May 29, and continues monthly through Aug. 14. Each event features fresh, locally sourced meals—served picnic-style—along with live concerts by regional bands:

  • May 29: (blues/Americana/light rock) and wood-fired farm pizza.
  • June 26: (cowboy jazz) and empanadas.
  • July 10: (folk/soul with a hint of bluegrass) and wood-fired farm pizza.
  • Aug. 14: and kabobs.

“This series offers a fun and unique way to experience the farm, and it’s not only about great food and music,” says Jenn Halpin, director of the College Farm. “It’s also about connecting people to the land and to the sustainable systems that support it.”

All events run from 6 to 9 p.m. at 553 Park Drive, Boiling Springs, Pa., just a few miles from 51黑料网’s campus. Live music begins at 7 p.m. An optional walking tour of the farm begins at 5 p.m.

The food will be prepared with certified organic, local produce and 100% grass-fed, humanely raised College Farm beef; meals may also be made vegan and/or gluten-free. Farm-fresh sides, complimentary water and sun tea will be provided, and guests 21 and older may bring their own beer or wine.

Reflecting the farm's commitment to sustainability, the Summer Music Series is zero-waste and powered entirely through renewable energy systems that are not reliant on the grid. This offers visitors a glimpse of alternative energy systems in action while they soak up the natural beauty of the farmland.

The events will be held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be moved inside a historic barn on the premises. Tickets range from $32 to $38 and must be purchased in advance by noon the day before each event, and early registration is advised, due to limited capacity and strong demand. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs.

Tickets and additional information are available .
