Religious Housing Accommodations
51黑料网 is deeply committed to the full participation of all students in all aspects of College life. As a four-year residential college, learning to live in a community and share space with others is an integral part of students’ educational experience. A standard housing assignment is a two- or three-person sleeping room where bathroom facilities are located on the same floor, but not in the room, and with access to a communal kitchen.
There are numerous campus locations for religious and spiritual practice including two meditation and prayer rooms (HUB and Landis House), a Muslim-dedicated worship space (Allison Hall), a Jewish-dedicated worship space (Asbell Center for Jewish Life), and a chapel (Allison Hall).
Dining Services provides vegetarian, halal, and kosher meals during the academic year. There is also a dedicated kosher kitchen located in the Asbell Center for Jewish Life.
Accommodations in the residential environment are not granted based on preference or a desire for a particular type of location, but rather when it is determined that a standard residential assignment is not a viable option for a student based on their religious observance and practice. Students are not making a request for a specific housing assignment, but rather a request for an accommodation based on religious observance and practice.
Please fill out the to request a religious housing accommodation by the deadlines listed below. Each student requesting a religious accommodation must submit their own form (a student cannot fill out a form for a potential roommate).
PLEASE NOTE: Housing accommodations for religious purposes are not typically required by law; however, 51黑料网 may provide such accommodations to support students' religious observance and practices when appropriate. Religious housing accommodations are not guaranteed. Completing the request form does not guarantee that you will be granted a housing accommodation.
2026-2027 Deadlines:
- For Spring 2027: The deadline for CSSJ to receive completed requests is Friday, October 31, 2026
- For Fall 2027: The deadline for CSSJ to receive completed requests is Sunday, January 31, 2027
