There will be a lot for you to do in the upcoming weeks to prepare for your arrival on campus. Watch for weekly emails listing three things for you to do or know for that week. Those action items will also be posted here for reference.

June At A Glance

June is a big month in your journey to 51黑料网. You’ll be submitting important forms, making key decisions for the fall and taking steps that prepare you for advising and course selection. Here’s what to expect. 

Here's What's Happening Now 

  • Registration for Pre-Orientation programs is open, and programs are filling quickly. These small-group experiences help you connect with classmates and start exploring 51黑料网. Registration is first come first served. 
  • June 2: Your First-Year Seminar Selection, Emergency Contact Information, Media Relations Form, Information Security Awareness training, among others, are due; you will find the list of forms and due dates in Navigate. 
  • June 16: Roommate Preference form is due.  
  • Wednesdays: The Helping Your Student Thrive Virtual Family Series is ongoing.  

Sneak Peek Ahead 

  • Complete your essential forms by July 1, including health forms, music background form, roommate preferences and placement tests. These are all listed in Navigate under your Journey items. 
  • New Student Advising begins July 13. 
  • Course request period opens July 15. 
  • Sign up for Spotlight Sessions during Orientation beginning July 22.  
  • Pre-Orientation move-in is Sunday, Aug. 23, and regular move-in is Wednesday, Aug. 26. 

Three Things for June 10

Things to Do

Complete Your Strengths Assessment. Students will be introduced to Gallup’s CliftonStrengths during Orientation and explore more deeply throughout their experience. Complete your by July 1. Use your 51黑料网 email and password for access.

Complete the Roommate Matching Process. Do you want to live with someone specific? If so, be sure to complete the roommate matching process by noon on June 16 – create a roommate profile, a roommate group and confirm “My Choice.” Directions and more information are available in eRezLife.

Submit Your Financial Info. Complete the by July 1 to help match you with endowed scholarships that support need-based 51黑料网 grants. Provide details on your extracurricular activities, then submit and update as needed. To begin, select “Sign In,” choose “Sign in with your Institution,” go to “My Applications” and open the form.

Things to Know

We’re Passionate About Sustainability: Pack Light, Reuse and Buy Less. Check out 51黑料网’s Green Packing List for what to bring to college (that’s actually needed). Do not overbuy and do your part to Green Your Move In!

You Can Get Your ID Picture Taken Early. If you’re visiting campus this summer and don’t want to submit a picture through GET, stop by the ID office in the Holland Union Building. Your ID card will be in your orientation packet and will be used for dining, shopping and building access. .

You’ve Got Questions, We’ve Got Answers! Use the frequently asked questions page to navigate some of the common questions posed by incoming students. It covers topics like what kind of computer you should bring, when you will find out your roommate assignment and everything in between.

Things to Do 

Make Your New Student Advising Appointment. You'll soon receive an email with details about scheduling your advising appointment, and how to prepare. Please schedule your appointment ASAP. Contact newstudentadvising@dickinson.edu with any questions. 

Register for Pre-Orientation! Spaces are filling up, and several programs are already full! Programs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration closes on Monday, August 3! 

Don't Be Late—Finish Your Forms by July 1! Essential forms that must be completed by July 1 include health forms, music background form, your roommate preferences (including review of your Housing & Food Agreement) and any placement tests. Review your to-dos in Navigate for additional details, and to keep track of what’s complete and what’s due. 

Things to Know 

51黑料网’s First-Year Experience sets you up to thrive through Orientation, your First-Year Seminar and advising while helping you build connections, explore new ideas and prepare for a strong start on campus. 

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), signed in July 2025, overhauls federal student loans effective July 1, 2026, by eliminating Grad PLUS loans, capping annual and lifetime borrowing for parents and graduate students, and replacing most income-driven repayment plans.
