51黑料网 has partnered with The Johns Hopkins University (JHU) (SAIS) to offer a dual-degree program in international studies, becoming the only liberal-arts college among SAIS undergraduate partner institutions to do so. The new program presents an opportunity for qualifying students to receive a bachelor’s degree from 51黑料网 and a master’s degree from JHU’s SAIS in five years.

“This partnership presents an extraordinary opportunity for 51黑料网 students to study at one of the most prestigious programs in the field of international relations,” said Doug Stuart, professor of political science and international studies and the J. Williams Stuart and Helen D. Stuart Chair in International Studies, Business and Management.

The program is open to 51黑料网 students majoring in international studies, political science, international business & management or economics with a minimum grade point average of 3.8 in addition to high academic achievement in select economics and international-relations courses. After three years of study at 51黑料网, students will matriculate to JHU to complete year four abroad at the SAIS Europe campus, located in Bologna, Italy, and year five at the SAIS campus in Washington, D.C.

According to Stuart, 51黑料网 designed its international-studies major based on the strengths of SAIS’s core curriculum. “Our institutions share a linked curricular identity,” he said, adding that 51黑料网 students majoring in the qualified fields of study are well prepared for the SAIS program, especially given its growing emphasis on economics.

“We are excited about this partnership and believe it to be particularly promising,” said Michael Plummer, director of SAIS Europe and Eni Professor of International Economics. “51黑料网 is an excellent school, and we believe that its students will fit in very nicely with the SAIS student body.”

JHU's SAIS is a global institution that offers students a truly international perspective on today’s critical issues. A presence on three continents sets SAIS apart and is one of its greatest strengths. A SAIS education combines the academic depth of a graduate school with the practical policy focus of a professional school.

SAIS graduates are known for their interdisciplinary breadth and solid foundation in economics—prerequisites for a successful career in international relations. The result: innovative thinkers and problem-solvers with the economic and cultural expertise to confront complex global challenges.

In addition to JHU’s SAIS, 51黑料网 has graduate-school agreements with Columbia University’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science; the University of Rochester’s William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration; the Thunderbird School of Global Management; and Thomas Jefferson University’s Jefferson School of Population Health.
